The Dachshund Club of New Jersey is
a licensed AKC Specialty Club, approved by AKC to hold
events including, but not limited to conformation shows,
field trials, earthdog tests and obedience trials.
Its mission is:
- To encourage and promote the breeding of pure-bred
dachshunds and to do all possible to bring their natural
qualities to perfection;
- To urge members and breeders to accept the standard
of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club and
the Dachshund Club of America;
- To do all in its power to protect and advance the
interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike
competition at events including, but not limited to,
conformation shows, field trials, earthdog tests and
obedience trials;
- To conduct sanctioned and licensed events including,
but not limited to, conformation shows, field trials, earthdog tests and obedience trials and any other event
for which the Club is eligible under the Rules and
Regulations of the American Kennel Club.
